Mouse Literacy Activity
Create a mouse booklet. Read If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff and Felicia Bond to the students. Next, give each child a piece of construction paper with the words: ‘If you give a mouse_____, He will ______.’ Encourage the children to fill in (or dictate depending on the children’s development) the words and illustrate their choices. Together create a cover for the booklet. Bind all of the pages together to create a mouse booklet.
