Rabbit Craft
Paper Plate Bunny*
Materials: Paper plates, black construction paper, brown construction paper, crayons or markers, cotton balls, scissors, glue
Instructions: Cut out 2 brown ears and 4 black whiskers from construction paper. Fold the paper plate in half and staple the ends together as this will be the bunny face. Encourage the children to color the entire paper plate (bunny’s face) brown. Next, show children how to glue on the ears and the whiskers. Then children can draw on eyes and a nose with crayons or markers and glue a cotton ball on the back of the face to serve as a tail.

Rabbit Gross Motor Skill Activity
Do this children’s’ favorite: “The bunny Hop”! Hopping is a great skill that helps develop gross motor skills and coordination in children.
Lyrics:
“Put your right foot forward
Put your left foot out
Do the Bunny Hop
Hop, hop, hop!
Dance this new creation
It’s the new sensation
Do the Bunny Hop
Hop, hop, hop!
Let’s all join in the fun
Father, mother, son
Do the Bunny Hop
Hop, hop, hop!”
The moves:
Children’s feet move right, right, and then left, left. Jump forward, jump back, and then jump 3 times (hop, hop, hop). Repeat the steps.
