Raising a child can really be one of the most complicated things that you will ever experience as a parent. There are so many things that you need to remember to ensure that your child is developing properly. At this stage, this is where they will learn what is right and what is wrong. They will even be prone to accidents since they will be exploring a lot during this stage. If you are a busy parent, your only option may be is to send your child to a day care center. This can really be a hard decision to do. You need to make sure that your child is safe even if you are not around.

Making friends is one of the things that your child must do in a day care center. They need to learn social skills as early as that stage because they will bring these until they grow up. In order for your child to make friends easily, you need to show them the proper way of making friends with other kids. You need to make them feel positive whenever you send them to the day care center. Do not remind them of so many things because this will only irritate your child. Allow them to view the day care center as a place where they will have fun. When you get there, greet the staff and other kids. This will show your child that it is that easy to make friends with other people. They need to overcome being shy so that they can easily interact with others.

Since your child is still learning at this stage, it is your responsibility as a parent to tell him what is right and what is wrong. If you observe that your child is starting to obtain bad habits, tell them that he should not imitate that trait and explain why it is bad. Be as gentle as possible because this might offend your child. Never tell them to stay away from their friends or even build a bad image of his friends. Just be straightforward in telling them that it is bad to possess that trait.

If your child is being aggressive at the day car center, it is probably because of his excitement of being with other children. Ask the staff how he is doing in the day care center when you are not around. Never get mad at them for being aggressive. This will only provoked your child to act more aggressive in the day care center. The reason why the child may be aggressive is because of the attention that he will get from the staff member that is taking care of them. Children usually love the attention that they get which is why they do things that will make them stand out. What you need to do is to ask the director if your child can be moved in a smaller group. This will allow your child to feel that he is given equal attention as the other kids. This will lessen his aggressive attitude if he feels this.

Food is one thing that you should not overlook when you are sending your child to a day care center. You need to ensure that your child is being fed properly during meal time. You can ask them for a menu of the food that they will serve. Check if they are giving your child a balanced meal. It is important that you check if they are served in the proper proportions of food. This is essential for the growth and development of your child. Also, make a list of allergies or conditions such as being lactose intolerant for the person in charge for food. It is important that your child will be serve that is healthy for him and will not cause any harm and jeopardize his health.

All day care centers have their own playgrounds. If you are scared that your child might get wounds or injury, always be prepared for these things. Children will be rowdy and adventurous when they are outdoors so they will most likely be candidates for tripping and wounds. Not allowing them to play outdoors in not an option for you. It is now your responsibility to check the playground first. You need to check if the playground equipments are in good condition. Broken part of the playground can also cause injuries for your child. So you need to make sure that you have checked for possible causes of injury. Tell these to the day care manager so that they can do something about it and ensure a safe playground for the children.

Always pack play clothes for your child. You need to remind your child that he should change in his play clothes before going to the playground. Make sure that he is wearing light clothes that have no strings or chains that might get caught in plants and other things that will cause harm to your child. You should always tell your child to change their clothes after playing.

Make sure that there is someone watching over the children when they are in the playground. This should be part of the day care center’s protocol. This will make playtime safer for the children. If there are accidents that may happen, at least you are sure that there is someone who will immediately attend to your child.

It is part of your responsibility to check on the procedures that day care centers provide to ensure safety of the child. You need to make sure that everything is clear before you enroll your child. This will prevent conflicts between you and the owner. When you have enrolled your child there, make sure that you monitor the progress of your child. You child might learn things that are wrong, so you need to correct him. Children are sensitive at this stage that is why you need to be as gentle as possible. Day care centers are not the only ones responsible for ensuring the proper development of your child. It is your responsibility too, so make sure that you are also doing your part in raising your child properly.

If you are one of those parents who do not have the budget for these things like sending your child to daycare, then there are several options which you might take when you want to save a little money but still be sure that your child will be taken care of.

You do not need to send you child to daycare if they are already studying. You child will most likely spend most of their time in the school rather than at home. Even if you are going home late, you do not need to have your child stay in daycare centers. Usually, you child will be old enough to follow instructions from you. Just remind them that there are certain things which they are only allowed to do when you are home. They will not find it hard to follow, children of this age still follow what their parents tell them. If you do not trust the idea of leaving your child at home, you can have a family member to take care of them while you are still not home. This will save on cost but you will be sure that you have someone who is trusted to take care of your child.

You may choose to have home-based business if you want a hands-on experience on being a mom. There are several online businesses which you can do online and still earn you a great deal of money. As well as other businesses that do not really require you to leave home are options you might takes. This saves a lot of time and money from all the commuting and daycare fees.

If this is not an option for you, you can choose a job which will have office hours in the middle of the day. In the morning and in the afternoon, you will be free to take care of your child when she leaves and comes home from school.

One thing that you be wrong about is that nannies and baby-sitters are much more expensive than daycare centers. These people are paid for their individual services and usually by the hour, which when summed up will cost more than what you will normally pay in a daycare center. Although they can give a more personal care for your child, it depends upon you if you are willing to pay a little extra for this privilege rather than saving money but still get your child to be taken care of in the best way.

Having the best care for your child is one of the priorities that you have as a parent. There are certain things which you need to consider in sending your child in daycare centers. You may either send them to daycare centers or you will be the one to adjust to their needs of your child. It can be understood that parents want what is best for their child, so sending the children to daycare centers is not something that must be thought of slightly, but thoroughtly.

You are shelling a lot of money in daycare centers, so if you are thinking that the prices of these services are too high, then you might want to choose sheaper alternatives. There are ways of taking care of your child without having to spend so much. You can leave them with friends and relatives who are willing to take care of them until you can pick your child up. Baby sitters may be really convenient for moms but if you are cutting on costs, this might not be a perfect choice for you. You can make the decision on whether to send your child to daycare or not, think about the things that you need and think of the best way that you can assure the care of your child even if you are still working.

The plan for National Hispanic Heritage Month is an acknowledgement of the additional than 44.3 million Americans of Hispanic source, representing more than 15% of our inhabitants.
Children find out about maracas, an instrument from our Hispanic friends; in an activity where children create their own maracas in addition to the celebration of birthdays with a bilingual version of the Happy Birthday song.

You have selected a great school to help take concern of your child as you are unable. They have a liability to ensure that your child is given good care, the right healthy meals and snacks, as well as to help teach your child.

You have tasks as well. If you want your child to be present at a excellence child care service, then you must be mixed up. Studies have shown that parents who are vigorously involved in their children’s lives and schooling will have brood who do well in school.

There are some understood rules when it comes to kids and daycare. They may seem like ordinary sense issues but are often ignored. It is the simple courtesies that many parents are too busy to be worried with and as a result, the daycare experienced.

One area in which a eminence child care organization might see problems is from cranky kids. No, not a kid who is cranky since they want more observe or are feeling poorly, but kids who are cranky since a parent did not get them to bed at a sensible hour. Lack of sleep can gravely interfere with a classroom location. Small children need at least nine hours of sleep each hours of darkness in order to be rested.

Regardless of whether you are using an elevated dollar excellence child care school or the local babysitter, you have the accountability of ensuring that your kid is healthy enough to be present at. Far too many parents intentionally pack their kids off to school when the kid should be kept at house.

Fever, flu or even head lice can increase through a daycare center very rapidly. If you must be at employment, do not put in danger the wellbeing of the other kids by sending your kid to school when they have a contagious condition. It is not reasonable to the children, staff or other parents. You should forever have a back-up plan in case your child is ill.

A superior child care center has an compulsion to care for your child and give them with a safe, nurturing surroundings when you cannot. Make sure you revisit the favor. Be deferential with the staff and make sure that your child is able to be present at preschool without illness, with sufficient sleep and by being actively involved in the parent-teacher association.

Knowing Whether Your Child is Ready for Preschool
Parents know that kids do not always go after the experts when it comes to bodily and intellectual growth. As the closest observers of their individual child’s nature and abilities, parents are the best judges on whether a child is prepared for an academic preschool program.

An educational preschool program differs from a daycare program in that it focuses on early learning skills, pre-reading readiness and linguistic growth. While there is time for free play, preschool is a knowledge rather than care giving surroundings. In past times, preschool programs were intended for children who stayed home with a parent. Children attended preschool two or three mornings a week, expenses the rest of the time at home. Today, since so many parents work, preschools have been efficient to full-day programs.

However, many kids in the two to three year old age collection may not be psychologically matured adequate for a full-day educational experience. Younger children commonly get weary and upset after too much inspiration and many still need an afternoon nap. In this case, parents should look for a program that proffer academic experiences in the morning and play time, naptime and other, less structured, actions for the rest of the date.

At three, the age most children start on preschool, children have developed the ability to speak in short sentences. At this time, adults can comprehend about three quarters of the words children say. A practical level of vocal aptitude can facilitate a child more easily find the way to preschool as he or she can enquire for help, to use the toilet, or whatever else they may need.

Most schools entail that kids attending preschool be toilet trained. The reliable capacity to use the bathroom throughout the day is an important part of preschool readiness. While teachers are tolerant of accidents, they are teachers and not daycare providers and can’t be expected to change diapers. Moreover, children should be acquainted with how to pull down and pull up their undergarments and to wash and dry their own hands.

Children must also have mastered basic life skills before beginning preschool. Snacks are absolutely served at preschool; furthermore lunch is served as well. Your child should be capable to handle finger foods and use a standard cup devoid of a spout in order to manage preschool meals. Also, they have to be able to put on their individual shoes and coat even though teachers at this stage fully expect to help with buttons and zippers.

It is easy to determine whether or not your child is prepared to go to preschool. You can be assured of the many benefits the daycare can actually provide you with and this can definitely be helpful not only in developing your child but also for you as well. So there’s certainly no need for you to worry about whether or not you your child should be brought to the daycare center because the answer is relatively simple. You can find that your child will grow and become more independent and mature once he or she is enrolled to a daycare center that you trust and believe can prepare your child for his future.

Truth be told, enrolling your child to a daycare center can pose both positive and negative effects on children. Ever since women started working regularly and being employed by certain companies, more and more children are being brought to daycare centers where they are usually cared for and taught while their parents are tied down with ways on how to generate income into their households.

Enrolling your child to the services of a daycare center can be a tremendous opportunity for your child to learn new things and interact with different types of people. They can also improve their vocabulary as well and learn how to open themselves up to others. Children are also gifted with the opportunity to learn basic academic skills at an earlier age, and adapt to the more rigid structure of a classroom environment prior to entering Kindergarten, easing what is often a difficult transition for children who are kept at home in their preschool years.

On the other hand, not all day care providers can provide you with the assurance of giving your child quality education and care requirements. Some daycare centers do not have enough staffs and workers who can attend to every child’s need that’s why in some cases, some staffs and employees of certain daycare centers end up to become very irritable and indifferent when it comes to dealing with children.

When your child reaches the age when he or she is ready to enter preschool, he or she is attended to by a single teacher together with around fourteen other studentsyou’re your child happens to be very timid, there is a very great and high risk that your child will be given less attention by his or her teacher. This behavior may stem from the need to compete for attention from a very young age, and is displayed in children of large families as well. Those children who are quiet and well behaved are set to the side while the teachers struggle to deal with the children who are not so self sufficient; is it any wonder, then, that this often results in these children learning to emulate the less than savoury behaviour of their peers, whom they see receiving the individual attention they crave?

The teachers should display a genuine love for the children, with experience and training in child development and psychology, allowing them to quickly detect a problem with a student before it starts to become uncontrollable. Parents should remain in contact with the child’s teacher, by receiving progress reports and observing classroom behaviour on a regular basis. It is also important for the child’s parents to be open when it comes to interacting and dealing with the schools. This way they can have the assurance of ensuring a better and brighter life for their child.

Although there are both advantages and disadvantages to enrolling your child to a daycare center, at the end of the day it is important for you to sit down with your child and talk to them about it.

Consolidating Ideas
In organizing a fund raising activity for a day care centre, the organizers must consolidate, scrutinize, discuss, approve or disapprove all ideas that they can use, apply and implement for the fund raising activity. All these fund raising ideas are imperative mainly because the kind of ideas the organizers will apply and implement determines whether the event will be a success or not. These ideas, when implemented, must produce positive results for the children, and not only for the day care centre. Therefore, the organizers must implement a full proof idea with supporting plans for the fund raising activity for the benefit of the children and the day care centre.

Organizing and holding a day care fund raising activity are in some parts difficult particularly because it is a lot different from the normal fund raising activity as the main attendees, beneficiaries and persons involved in the event are children. These children will be the significant contributors as well in the organizers efforts, and like it or not, they are the cause, means and end of these events. The difficulty lies mostly in the planning stages

Meetings will be held amongst organizers and volunteers. Disagreements will happen. Distribution and division of action takes place. Giving out information to the public and meetings with possible sponsors and donors takes place. This is where hard work and action takes place, inviting and convincing the sponsors and the public to participate in an event for a good cause. That is why the right ideas are of utmost importance.

Here are some tried and tested ideas the organizers can use and develop for their fundraising activity and event.

Selling
The item sale is the most common and the most highly regarded idea for a fund raising activity because it has always given the organizer positive and favourable results. The item sale is so common as it requires very minimal effort in planning and not much money to organize. In a normal fund raising activity item sale, organizers buy objects that are auctioned off or sold to bidders and buyers. But in a day care fund raising activity, organizers seek sponsors who will and can contribute items to be sold in the fund raising activity. The organizers look for and set up meetings with sponsors by talking to owners of establishments within the daycares’ vicinity and surrounding neighbourhood. They, both organizers and sponsors, can agree on a profit share scheme. The share of profit of the sponsor will be added to the amount the items were sold for and given to the sponsor, while the profit share of the organizers go to the day care centre. Obviously, this will not require the organizer to spend a single cent.

The baked goods sale idea. It is in this idea that the organizers approach and ask the parents of each day care child enrolee to contribute baked goods to be sold in the fund raising activity. This is more effective than approaching possible sponsors and has the capacity to earn more funds for the day cay centre. The organizers sell the baked goods for a certain price to attract customers or at an agreed mark-up for a profit. In an agreed mark-up set-up, the organizers will have to share the profit with the parents. The profits that the organizers collect will be added to the amount the baked goods items were sold for and given to the day care centre. The children’s parents can even sell the goods themselves for a great bonding activity with their children. The parents can also help in promoting the fund raising activity of the day care centre through their means like email, and by inviting their own friends and officemates, family members and relatives.

As far as location goes, the day care centre itself is often at the top of the list. Organizers redecorate the day care centre for the fund raising activity. Next would be the door to door type of selling. Both ways are very good and often produce positive and great results for the children and the day care centre. Aside from not requiring too much money to plan, the children are often very excited with this type of idea knowing that they will get the chance to spend time with their parents and friends.

Add to these, the organizer can also take into consideration of the parents’ main focus and primary attention: their children. The children can take center stage as organizers can sell items that the kids made themselves. Or they can sell these children’s pictures, as for greeting cards. Though it may not seem a good idea, parents will be more than glad to help and see their kids through this fund raising activity

Organizing is Easy!
Though it was stated earlier that the difficult part lies in organizing and planning a fund raising activity, planning such fund raising activity does not involve rocket science. Day care fund raisers are wonderful fund raisers, particularly if the organizers involve the children. The centre can be turned into a mini-restaurant, and the children will be the waiters and waitresses where they can wear costumes made by themselves. Some of them can even go into a make shift kitchen and play chefs, complete with toques (chef’s hat) and prepare the food, an idea the parents will definitely enjoy. Parents will surely embrace the idea of, for once, being served and cooked for by their children.

Must be Fun
Other ideas abound which the organizer can consider, apply and use for the fund raising event. The organizer must consider that these ideas must have the element of fun for the kids. Fun, fun, fun! When people give the idea of fun to a kid, their eyes suddenly glow and light up like light bulbs. It’s the best way to entice children to attend and, more importantly, participate in a fund raising activity. It becomes another venue for them to play and laugh with the other children. Surely they will appreciate it more when their parents and family are in it.

There’s no need to despair if you happen to be a parent of a clingy preschooler. By simply following these tips, you can immediately avoid drama when you finally decide to take your child to the daycare

If you are worried that you are alone and that your child is experiencing too much drama every single time you try to leave him to a daycare center, you should definitely know that you are not alone in this world. In fact, most parents experience this not-so-worth-looking-forward-to moment in their lives every single time they try to bid their child goodbye.

You also probably notice how rowdy and discourteous your child starts to become every time you talk to him about daycare. This is because children normally get and feel apprehensive to be away from their parents even for very short hours because that is something that they are used too. Although you have talked to them and have told them that they can actually have fun, play with other children, watch educational videos and more in their daycare center, this seems never to be enough to console them. What to do now? Don’t even think that you should despair because all you have to do is follow these tips and you can be assured of bidding that drama goodbye for good!

Pair transition time with special time
In the mornings or when you first get home after work, make a point of spending five or ten minutes with your child, paying attention just to him or her. A satisfied child is usually a well-behaved one.

Encourage independence
Don’t physically carry your child into school or daycare if he or she can walk. Let the child walk in beside you and put his or her own things away — coats, lunch, other items to be stored in the locker or cubby. You’ll find that independent kids are far less likely to cling when you need to be getting to your workplace.

Talk to your child’s teacher
In the mornings, share with the teacher any news about medications, situations at home, or changes in schedule, such as an unusual bedtime, that may affect the way your child behaves that day. In the afternoons, find out how the day has gone. There may be circumstances you should consider when judging behavior. Many preschools give parents a daily written “report card,” telling what your child ate, how long he or she napped, and whether he or she was particularly happy or whiny.

Make time just for you
The transition from work back to parenthood is hard on you, too. Before you pick up your child, take a moment for a cup of coffee or listen to your favorite tape in the car. Release, relax, and feel better. Then you’ll find it’s easier to deal with your child’s demands.

Transition Time for Preschoolers in the school
Help Preschoolers Learn How to Change Activities without Tantrums

Preschoolers often have a difficult time with transitions. Learning how to effectively handle transitions is a gentle discipline skill that will help you and your child.

For young children, transitions can prove unsettling and can result in a tantrum. Children get engrossed in an activity, whether that be playing, watching television or spending time with the dog. When it’s time to change to the next activity, most children struggle with the transition. Many are so upset about changing activities that they tantrum or lash out at their parents.

Some common transitions that prove to be frequent trouble spots are bedtime, leaving the house, sitting down for a meal and bath time. Here are some tips that will make these and other transitions easier for most preschoolers.

Give Warnings before Changing Activities
Start with ten minute warnings before it’s time to end an activity. Then give warnings at intervals until the time is up. Abrupt changes in activity will be hard for most children. But, if the child knows a transition is coming and he has a chance to finish what he is doing, he is more likely to be agreeable.

Use a Timer to Signal the End of an Activity
Timers can be particularly effective tools at transition time for young children. When it’s time to give the ten minute warning, set the timer for ten minutes. Once the timer goes off, the child knows that it is time to move to the next activity.

Timers can also be used for children that drag their feet and have trouble completing tasks while transitioning. A child that takes a half hour to finish tooth brushing at bedtime can be challenged to brush his teeth in two minutes with the use of the timer. Many children will find it fun to race the timer to get their coats and shoes on when it’s time to leave the house.

Follow a Routine during Transitions
Preschoolers are especially responsive to routines. Each transition, especially those, like bedtime, that occur daily, should follow the same pattern every day. The starting time isn’t as important as a consistent routine during the transition.

A typical bedtime routine should always start the same way, have a few short activities, such as a story, and then end the same way. Your child may still protest when bedtime is announced, but once the routine is started, he will most likely settle down quickly as he enjoys the story and the time with his parent.

Practice Difficult Transitions Frequently
If the difficult transitions happen outside of the home at preschool or when visiting friends, you may want to practice with your child. Some children have trouble leaving a friend’s house at the end of a play date. Practice this transition at home. Keep the routine simple each time you do it. Soon, your child will settle into the familiarity of the routine and will be more cooperative the next time you are out.

If you find that your preschooler is having a difficult time with transitions at school, ask the teacher if you can observe a class. Then, practice the transitions that occur during a typical school day. Be sure to keep the routine the same as the teacher’s routine so that your child becomes comfortable with the expectations.

Daycare centers is a flourishing business as more and more parents work full time and as such they have to leave their children to the care of somebody else. Once children are brought into a daycare center, they become the center’s responsibility. The center has liability should anything happen to the children under their care like a child getting hurt in play or in activities.

Insurance is very important in a daycare center. It is important both for the owner and the business itself. A liability insurance will cover any accident that may befell any child within your premises during the time that they are under your care and responsibility. Your business and your personal resources could be wiped out entirely should an accident occur in your daycare center that is not covered by any insurance. The cost of litigation and the possible damages you have to pay could be more than what you can afford.

Experienced daycare providers know how to protect themselves from liabilities. They require parents to submit the child’s medical records so they will know if the child has allergy or any serious illness that will require treatment or special attention. Parents are required also to submit the immunization record of the child with the doctor’s signature. These are all intended to avoid any problem that may question the center’s liability thus avoiding future lawsuits. However, accident when children are involved in any activity could not be entirely avoided. This is when a liability insurance comes in handy.

Most states require childcare center to operate only if they have liability insurance. They are well aware that the owners of childcare centers may not be in the position to handle the financial obligation in the event of an accident involving one or more children. A home based child care center has a very limited capitalization and failure of the owner to pay for hospital bills of children who are involved in accidents will be disastrous to both the childcare center owner and the parents concerned.

Insurance liability coverage has its limits, depending on what kind of coverage you get and how much you pay. You will pay more for a higher insurance coverage. Anything that is beyond your insurance coverage will be your own responsibility. If your insurance provides only for $100,000 coverage per child and the child’s hospital bill is $120,000, you will have to pay for the $20,000 difference.

The cost of liability insurance will depend on the kind of coverage you will choose and the number of children enrolled in the daycare center. Different insurance companies offer different amount of premiums but make sure you deal only with well-established and reputable insurance companies. It is also a good idea that you seek legal advice before getting an insurance policy. Your lawyer can explain to you some confusing legal terms and can help you decide on what kind of insurance coverage will be best for your daycare center.

One of the most liable types of businesses include day care centers. Liability in this regards refers to the cost of damage that is incurred in the event of negligence or inattention of the care taker which can either be extreme most especially if the damages affecting the child or children are dangerous or could have dangerous side effects on their minds, body and even growth.

Day care centers are therefore high-risk businesses that could cost you huge amounts of money if you are negligent. It is therefore a given fact that juries are more sensitive to cases wherein a child is reported to be suffering and of course the parents of these children are altogether zealous in ensuring that they are properly compensated regardless of whether or not the condition or injury is risky and serious in nature.

Franchising a day care business offers a way to spread the cost of acquiring home child care liability coverage over greater numbers, reducing premiums for individual businesses. Franchise companies offer the added benefit of sharing their collective expertise in prevention of accidents or illnesses with day care operators.

Many reports have shown and even proven the fact that accidents are a leading cause of death among children between the ages zero to five years. It has also been reported that accidents are the leading cause of all non-fatal injuries treated in emergency rooms all over the world.

Every year, because of the negligence of their care takers or guardians, about three thousand children are injured or killed because of television sets that fall on their heads. About ninety thousand children are disabled from accidental injuries which happen every year. Even so, some family pets could even pose great threats to children who treat them harshly or roughly.

Home child care business liability is essential to cover liability for a child’s welfare in a home day care center. Children are, by nature, very much prone to injuries. As soon as they take those first steps, they are more likely to fall, to climb on things, to slip away from watchful eyes. They tend to be persistent and try again if their first efforts fail.

Children are amazingly resilient, yet amazingly fragile. They seem to have the ability to bounce and get up and do it again if they fall. On the other hand, an unaware adult picking a child up by the arms may pull his or her shoulders out of sockets.

Home child care liability insurance covers actual damages due to negligence or lack of diligence. Also covered are possible long-term damages for a child whose care requirements may change due to an injury. Criminal acts perpetrated by the business person or any other household member are never covered by Home Child Care Liability insurance.

A liability policy covers illnesses caused by food-borne pathogens, and for illnesses contracted by exposure to another sick child in the care program.

Because legal responsibility is such a serious and costly consideration, franchised day care centers offer a viable and often less expensive means of protecting the operator’s assets from the threat of a lawsuit.
