Leaving your child in a day care center is not a choice for most parents anymore. Most parents do not choose to live a busy life, but since the economy has been going nowhere but down, they are often faced with no other option but to work. As a consequence, they are not able to take care of their children. What they do is that they leave their child in a day care center so that they will be ensured that their child is taken care of, even if they cannot be there. You may be wondering what are the pros and the cons of a day care. Let me give you an idea on what to expect should you decide to leave your child in a day care center.

In a day care center, your child is faced with a lot of benefits. He will be able to learn a lot of things from counting, writing, reading, coloring and dealing with other people. Since a day care often has a lot of activities lined up for your child, you will be sure that he will not only get the care that he needs, but also the knowledge that will equip him for the future. With the constant interaction that your child will have with other children, he will be able to develop certain social skills as he plays with them. You do not need to teach your child how to deal with others especially if he is shy. In a day care center, he will be able to deal with it on his own.

The number one thing which parents dread when they leave their children in a day care center is separation anxiety. Since children are not really used to being left alone in an unfamiliar place, they will seek the company of their parent. This will often cause them to cry, throw tantrums and become really restless. This is what causes parents to have a hard time leaving their children. You can deal with this in your own way, depending on what you think is the right way, you can ensure your child that he is secure in the day care and you will come back for him. When this happens, you can also allow him to bring a toy or a blanket that will provide him with the security that he wants. This will make him feel more comfortable in the day care, even if there is a switch of an environment. In no time, he will adjust and notice that he will not need to bring his security items anymore.

It is really beneficial for you to enroll your child in a day care. Do not be afraid even if the time calls you to work. There is not much which you can do since you need to work for your future. The care of your child should not be compromised and the day care centers will ensure you of this. Enroll your child now and see how it can be advantageous for your child’s development.

Children are always so enthusiastic to learn. At this stage, their learning abilities are at a maximum this is why parents should take advantage of this. You child is still willing to grasp new ideas and skills that they may find to be useful in the future. It is important that you come up with activities that will be both fun and effective for your child. Children learn best when they are having fun so you need to be as creative as possible. You can incorporate in your daily activities lessons in numbers, reading, writing, drawing, history and even science.

Crafts are one activity that your child may enjoy doing. This enhances the creative mind of your child. It is now up to you how you are going to incorporate lessons in this activity. This is the perfect choice if you want your child to enjoy as well as learn. This can be something which you and your child can enjoy together. Remember that what is important is that your child is learning from these and not to come up with the perfect output.

With so many choices, it may be difficult for you to choose one. It is highly recommended that you have a lesson plan and depending on the lesson for the day, you can now pick up your craft sets in toy stores and teach your children how to learn the fun way!

Puppet shows are one of the most enjoyable learning methods of children. You can teach them how to make their own puppet and play with them afterwards. Choose a theme or storyline from their favourite show and you can play with the puppets and imagine that they are the real thing. This will really allow your child to use their creativity in making puppets. One more thing is that they will learn how to be resourceful. They will learn that they can use sock for puppets and even buttons for eyes. Your child will learn a lot from this activity.

Play dough has been one of the most popular choices for parents. Almost everyone you know have played with this. All you need when playing with clay is your imagination. You can teach children how to make animals, people, shapes and numbers using play dough. The children can work in groups and come up with a whole set of animals or a village. This is an enjoyable activity for your child since they can mold anything that they like, in any color that they want. You can play guessing games by molding a shape and ask your child what you have molded. This will allow your child to discover new things through pay dough.

Cooking is a fun activity that you can teach your child. The easiest way that your child can enjoy cooking is through baking. You can bake your child’s favourite cake, cookies, cupcakes, muffin and almost anything. You can teach your child how to mix the batter and pour them in the pans. But cooking does not stop there. You can buy decorating materials for the cake. You can buy colored icing and flowers made out of sugar which you can use to decorate a cake. You can put different designs on the cake which will make it more enjoyable to eat.

In baking cookies, you can use various shapes on cookie cutters which will be make cookies more fun to eat. You can also make crafts like designing cookie jars where you will out your cookies after baking. You can teach them how to draw simple things on the jars which they will remember everytime they get a cookie.

Playing outdoors have always been one of the things that children enjoy doing. Crafts are usually done indoor which may bore your child. It is important to have some fresh air once in a while. One activity that you can teach your child that can e dine outdoors is gardening. Teach your child how to plant, make flowerpots and even garden bins. At this point, your child may have established a favourite flower, fruit or vegetable. You can buy seeds and team up so that you can plant together, dig the sand, place the seed and cover it with soil. You can teach your child to be responsible by checking up on the plant from time to time and watering them based on the schedule. You can also plant in pots where you can put designs like a face where the hair is the grass that is growing. There are countless of options that you may take when it come to gardening.

Making scrapbooks is one craft that your child will surely enjoy. You can but a blank scrapbook which you can decorate from scratch. Let your child pick pictures which they like or remember to have a good memory with. These are the pictures which you can place in the scrapbook. Your child can practice his writing, coloring and even designing. They can incorporate colors which complement each other and designs with a theme. You can have fun reminiscing these moments with your child.

There are so many crafts from which you can choose from. You just need to be creative in coming up with an activity for you and your child. Make sure that you are able to teach your child the importance of doing the activity so that they will not only enjoy to learn but they will also enjoy the activity.

Children love to learn in a creative way so make sure that whatever you are doing, your child is interested in this. They will be willing to learn if they are enjoying what they are doing. Make sure that you are doing a craft that is age-appropriate that will allow them to learn from these. Remember that crafting is more than just a hobby or a past time, it is something which you can use to teach your child certain skills which they can further develop when they grow up.

If you are looking for a home based business, you may be thinking of opening your own day care center. This does not require much plus you can operate it at the comfort of your own home. Especially for those who love children, this may seem to be the perfect job which they can get into. This requires daily exposure to children that is why it is important that you love to be with them. You need to be able to communicate with them effectively. This is will allow you to deal with their concerns and address their problem effectively.

You may be thinking right now that since you love children, you can now open your own day care. This is not the case. There’s more to opening a day care center than loving to be with children. You need to make sure that you are able to complete all the requirements that are needed in opening a business, since a day care center is still a business, no matter what.

The first thing that you should do is to complete the licenses and certifications that you need in order to open your day care business. There are state requirements when it comes to obtaining a license and you need to comply with these. There are certain rules when it comes to the space that you will a lot for the day care itself. You need to know if you are going to make changes or not in your homes. This also includes knowing how many children you can accommodate when it comes to your day care business. Depending on where you live, you may have different policies, it is important that you are able to follow these and be approved before you make the necessary changes in your homes.

Organization is the key to success in your day care. You need to make sure that you have policies that have been well thought of. This may include the in-house rules when it comes to playing, visiting, and hiring your employees. You need to ensure that you business is run smoothly from the start so that future problems may be avoided. Since parents usually have questions when it comes to how you run the day care centers, you must be able to answer them based on the policies that you have set. This will make communication paths easier for the both of you.

When coming up with the policies that you will employ, you need to do your research. You may need to read on proper childcare so that you will know which methods work best in dealing with children. It is important that you have a wide perspective in this since children may not share the same interests all the time. You can also go around the different day care centers and ask the owners what children like or dislike so that you can consider these things when you make your policies.

Hiring your employees are the next on the list. It is important that you have a staff that will help you in taking care of the children. There are certain staff to child ration that day care centers must follow to ensure that the right amount of care is given to the children. You need to make sure that you are hiring the right employees. Screen each and every one of your applicants so that you can get an idea on who are eligible to handle children. Usually this comes in a form of an interview so that you will be able to have an idea on how the person relates to other people. This is okay but it is still recommended that you conduct a background check on them. There are so many cases of child abuse in day care centers and this is the last thing that you would want to happen in your business.

Making a business plan is something that you should never forget. It does not mean that if you have not yet started your day care business, you do not need to account for the money that you have or will spend in the future. You need to take into account your primary expenses, tax expenses, equipment and even insurance costs. This will allow you to set a goal on how much you are willing to earn in order to cover these expenses. This is needed for the future, especially if you plan on expanding your day care, you will be able to know how you can utilize your profits wisely.

You need to market your day care business. Especially if it is home-based, no one will really know that you are running a day care business in your home. You need to make sure that you let the people know that you have a day care center. Since there are so many working parents these days, they are in constant search of a day care where they will be able to send their children to. They may always find it hard to enroll their child in day care centers since some of them are already full. You need to take this chance and let them know that you are available. Make sure that you come up with a creative ad that will attract any parent to contact your day care center.

Even if you may be new in the world of day care, you can make it big. With the huge demand for day care centers, you will never run out of potential customers. You should not only this when you are operating your day care. You should also consider the fact that parents also want what is best for their children and you need to make sure that you are able to give this to the children. Remember to treat them as if they are your own children. If the parents see that you are really taking care of their children, then they will continue to enroll their child in your day care. It is important that you gain the trust of your customers, and you will surely be successful in this field!

A childcare business can be one of the best businesses that you can ever get into. The atmosphere seems to light and happy when it come to a childcare facility. Imagine all the children running, laughing, smiling and playing. Isn’t this what you have always wanted?

It is so easy to open your own day care business. All you need is the capital, the right business plan, the staff members and the right equipment. If you are the owner, you might have overlooked one thing that is really important when it comes to day care business. You need to make sure that you have a liability coverage for your day care business. It is very crucial that you have an accident prevention guide when it comes to your business.

Children are very curious at this stage. They just grab everything that they get and play with it. This is one of the major causes of the accidents that happen to children. This is why you need to make sure that sharp object should be kept away from them. One more danger that children can experience is choking. Small toys should be kept away from the children because their tendency is to get everything and put it in their mouth.

When children are able to walk, you need to double the security on your child. They will start to walk on their own and go to places that are unknown to them. Remember that at this stage, all they can think of is going straight and remain standing. They still have no sense of direction so they might just smack into walls or bump into edges. Children love to climb to greater heights. As long as they can climb, they will do it. This is the major cause of falling for children.

Children can really try and try and not learn at all. Even if they get into accidents, they will never really remember these things. All that children can think of is being able to do what they are doing. Learning is more important to them rather than thinking of the safety.

You should also consider the health concerns of the children. Children can easily get sick when they are exposed to bacteria or germs. Some sicknesses can be fatal others may lead to serious complications. You should always maintain a healthy day care facility and free from germs that they can easily pick up.

As a day care center owner, you should be alarmed by these things. You should be aware that accidents can lead to deaths which are one of the major causes of deaths in children. When a child gets into an accident, they may get permanently harmed from these things. They may get scars or even broken bones. This can really be scary for you and the other parents.

Accidents happen because they just happen. No one can really blame for an accident. This is why people just accept whatever happens to them if they get into an accident because they cannot do anything about it. This is not how you, as a day care center owner should think. You should be aware that these things can happen to the children. The best way to deal with this is through preventive measures. Yes, you should always think beforehand of all the possible dangers that the child might get exposed to so you can make a set of preventive measures to ensure the safety of each and every child.

One of these preventive measures is by getting a home child care liability insurance. This insurance will cover for the accidents or any damages that your childcare facility might have caused the child. They even cover for future liabilities which may have resulted from the accidents. There are children who need to adjust to whatever happened to them during an accident and this is covered by the liability. You can never tell when an accident may happen, this is why even illnesses are covered by the home child care liability insurance. Usually this concerns food- pathogens that can risk the health of the children. Of course, only unexpected instances are covered by this insurance. Should there be any criminal acts happening in the day care center, this is not covered by the insurance.

If you are scared that maybe you will not be able to meet the demands for a safer day care center, you do not need to let go of your dream of opening a day care business. Franchising is the best option that you have. This will save you from all the money that you will spend for the home child care liability insurance. When you purchase your own franchise, you will get the same benefits that other franchises enjoy. They will provide you with the insurance as well as the right training when it comes to the safety of the children. You will be sure that your childcare facility will be safe for all the children. This basically saves you from the liabilities that you may incur in your business.

Children are very delicate and fragile. People always find a soft spot in them for little kids. If your day care center causes an accident to any child, you need to be prepared because people can usually be biased and blame it all to you. If ever there are accidents, there will be lawsuits and court orders from time to time. If you have been found to be negligent in taking care of a child, juries will easily tend to come up with a verdict. This is something which you should prevent from happening.

Owning a day care center may be the best option that you have, but remember that safety of the children always comes first. Make sure that you have a safety plan for the children to prevent accidents from happening. If you are not sure that you will be able to provide security to the children, you can always opt for franchising your own day care.

If you are one those parents who think that looking for a daycare is almost close to impossible in connection to the proper cost then the real thing that you must look into is how to find a daycare that is best suited for the age of your child or children and what are the needs of your child or children.

Au Pair: Personal Daycare
Au pair simply means mother’s help. It is a type of personal daycare that you can enlist to care for your child. Normally, a daycare of this kind will take about thirty five hours per week on a fulltime basis and twenty hours per week on a part time basis. An au pair daycare will obviously set you back some dollars. This will cost you around one-hundred sixty dollars to three-hundred and fifty dollars and will cover for the au pair’s food, lodging, a cable line, an additional cellular phone and a room to sleep in. Other tangibles left unmentioned may be thrown in.

These mother’s help will eat, sleep and take care of your child at home. Often times, they work on call even if they simply have to do an errand for themselves. These au pair’s are normally young females from a different country who are new to the United States of America and are just starting to experience living in a different country. Some of them are Americans who have lived all their lives in small towns across the United States of America who have come to big cities in search of greener pasture and a whole new experience. There are some au pair companies that give out information on the people they have in their companies and you can use these companies to look for and hire the right au pair for you and your child or children. You can find the names of these companies on the internet and simply visit their websites and check on their line-up. If you are interested in interviewing someone in their line-up, then you will have to shell a few dollars to get the chance to interview that person. Now if by any
chance you see someone based from another country and would like to take a closer look at that au pair, then you will have to do this legally through the means of the Au Pair agency. The agency will charge you for a certain fee and they will start to facilitate and produce all the papers that are needed for you to get the Au Pair you are interested in. All these would normally cost you around three-hundred and fifty dollars on a weekly basis which also includes the wage of the Au Pair. Some of the cash involved will have to be paid in whole.

Au Pair versus Nannies
There are a number of families who actually prefer hiring an Au Pair than a nanny because of the simple reason that it costs less. But the truth of the matter is that these two occupations and the people in it are very different. While nannies are seasoned veterans in taking care of children, Au pair’s are relatively young when they start they careers. Some of them can be as young as eighteen.

You definitely have a lot of options when it comes to giving the proper care for your child. Often times, the care for your child involves another person besides yourself. As a parent, you need to make wise decisions in leaving your child in the care of someone else. If only you could take care of your child yourself, but that is not the case as you have to work and earn your keep. Here are your choices.

The Daycare Centre

The typical daycare schedule runs from about seven in the morning until six in the evening on every weekday there is. It does come at a price though, from forty to a little under seventy dollars daily. But this actually is enough to justify what your child can learn in a daycare centre.

Usually, daycare centres admit children from age two and four years old. Daycare centres are a good course for your child to learn how to socialize with other people, especially with children within this age bracket. Those who work in a daycare centre help these children develop their skills regarding socializing with other children by integrating the teaching lessons in the form of child’s play. These workers offer a variety of activities for the children to do all throughout the day with strategically placed break times and sleep time in between these activities. One of the good things about day care centres is that there is a low density of children assigned to one supervisor. And for your peace of mind, some of these daycare centres have live streaming of the goings on to their websites so you and the other parents can check on your child anytime by simply visiting the daycare centre’s website. Some of these establishments accept children ones they have learned how to use the bathroom and can keep these children until they are ready for the big schools. These are all the positives (besides the price). But as in anything in this world, there are also some not so things about putting your child in a daycare.

The Not so Good Side of Putting your Child in a Daycare Centre

Some of these include the less personal attention the child will get as the supervisor will have to focus his or her attention to a few other children. This is something your child can not get from the undivided attention he or she gets from you. Sometimes this causes separation anxiety in a child and this will show when the child refuses to go inside the centre and or refuses you to leave him or her in the centre. Temper tantrums night even follow. But the time will come that your child will actually get used to this and will be okay with it. As an advise, when your child starts throwing tantrums, just reassure him or her that everything will be fine and simply stand firm. Do this and your child will develop the nerve to stay in the daycare. Along with those children who behave well, there are those children who can be mean, who bite, who are simply bad, who yell always and those who display a little violence. The thing is that there might be times that you will have to handle these children who do all these nasty things to your child. But if you find the need to do so, it is better that you be very diplomatic about it and do not show any temper flares in handling the situation. The most important thing is that your child gets his or her due apology from the offender.

Daycare Home
Home daycare services are now sprouting everywhere. They usually operate within the same hours as a daycare centre would, from between seven in the morning until six in the evening. The cost of putting your child in a home daycare runs from a minimum of thirty five dollars to under fifty dollars daily. This amount usually covers for the meals and other materials your child will need and use all throughout the day.

The basic setting of a home daycare is a house of a parent, often a mom who also takes care of her children. One of the differences between a daycare centre and a home daycare is that there are less children in a home daycare setting compared to a daycare centre. Acceptance is not that strict as children who are not yet trained to use the bathroom are often accepted in a home daycare. Those supervisors working in a home daycare are usually very caring and are personally attentive to the needs of the children. The home setting makes the children feel more at ease and cosy as the home will help these children give them the feeling that they are in their house. Home daycare has a kind of a family feel. The activities in a home daycare are not structured compared to that of a daycare centre. The thing is you as a parent must be in the know of what the home daycare activities are lined up for the day. This will help you know what your child is busy with. Hime daycare is better suited for toddlers and babies.

The not so Good Side of a Home Daycare setting
Again, as earlier stated, when there are good things, there are also those things that are on the other side of the spectrum. These are the not so good side of a home daycare setting.

One of these things is the fact that home daycare homes do not have to pass regulation tests and standards by both the health department and education department as well. This obviously means that you will have to do a thorough background check of the place and make sure that it is clean and its sanitation is up to your standards. The thing is, if you are not satisfied with the sanitation of the home, then to give you peace of mind, just simply look for another home daycare. Another thing is that often these home daycare do not have websites therefore will at times leave you wondering what your child is doing and if he or she is safe.

Marketing your own day care business is something which you must faithfully do. This has been one of the most famous business options that people have been taking so you need to make sure that you beat all of your competitors. So when you start with marketing, you should always think of how you will be able to make your current clients stay with you or even encourage people to enroll their child in your day care center.

Word of Mouth
This has been one of the most reliable and cost-effective advertising strategy that there is. All you have to do is to talk and you are on your way to gaining more customers for your day care business. Start with your family and friends when you are advertising through word of mouth. You need to advertise your business to them well and they will do the rest. They need to be able to put in good reputation for your day care business to their friends and connections. This is usually the most effective method that owners take when it comes to marketing their day care business.

Printed Flyers
This may be the next option that you may take when you are opening your day care business. This does not require a lot of money for making these advertising materials. All you need are your trusty printer, paper and your creativity. You will be able to have control of the design that you flyers will have. You will save a lot of money from hiring someone who will do the lay out for you. You should be able to come up with a flyer that has all the necessary information. You do not need to put everything there, but you should at least provide a little information on your services. Make sure to include the name of the company, contact number, services offered and the prices. You can hand them out to your neighbours, leaving them at their doors or even posting them on your local corkboard when everyone can see it.

Online advertisements
There are so many online advertising sites available for business entrepreneurs. These websites often charge the people when it comes to advertising, but there are also websites which do this for free. You just need to find the website and post you’re ad. It is that simple. Always remember that there are so many people who have internet access, so there will also be other day care centers that may have advertised on the internet too. You need to make sure that you come up with an ad that will stand out from the rest. You also need to keep in mind that online ads update all the time, so make sure that you are visible in the online world all the time.

Local Newspaper
Newspapers have never really failed when it comes to advertising. People are always reading the newspaper everyday so you can place your advertisements on this material. Even if it means spending a little money, you will be sure that your business will gain clients through this advertising method. You do not need to place a half-page advertisement on your day care. The most important thing is that you come up with and effective advertisement given a small amount of space. This will ensure that the people reading your advertisements will at least have an idea about your day care which is a good start.

Make A Big Banner
Notice how banners catch out attention during traffic. Even if it does not concern use, we still take the time to read all that is written on the banner. A big banner is your best bet when it comes to advertising. You just need to come up with a catchy design and you are good to go. You need to place the banner on a place where people usually pass so when there is traffic, they will take the time to read your banner and get your contact number. There is no doubt about it that in a matter of a few minutes, someone will be calling your phone and asking about your day care services.

Visit your Employers
Drop by in the offices there in your vicinity. Leave a couple of flyers there for working moms. If they need any assistance when it comes to taking care of their children, then you are in luck. Mothers always make sure that their children are taken care of especially when they are in the offices. This is why you need to reach out to them and tell them that you are willing to help them when it comes to day care services.

For current customers, a good way to market your day care center is through giving out promos. This will double as a marketing strategy as well as an extension of you gratitude to them for being loyal customers all this time.

You can always work up a deal with the parents that you will give them an incentive for every 3-5 referrals that they give you. This will help you to gain customers in no time. You may give rewards such as discounts, gift cards or anything free for your child. This is a sure fire way of gaining customers. At least this benefits you and your customers at the same time.

Holidays are the events which customers always look forward to. May it be Christmas, Halloween, Mother’s Day and other special occasions, parents always see these occasions as special ones. Having special promos for parents can really please them. You can have a Christmas promo when it comes to the hours of day care services. You can even give the, a card or a gift that will help them remind your day care.

It is easy to market day care centers. You can even think of other ways in which you can market your business. Have fun when you market your business! Always make sure that you are only advertising what you can give and never give them false hopes. Or else this will be bad for business.

Effective communication must be observed in childcare centers. Since these are facilities are in charge on taking care of the children, they will only be able to do this when they communicate effectively with the parents. Parents usually have certain requests when it comes to the care of their children. This is why they need to be able to effectively reach out to the childcare owners to make sure that their request is taken note of.

Being able to provide proper care to the children will show the dedication and professionalism of a childcare center. They should be able to cater to all the requests of the parents. This is why it is their responsibility to ensure clear communication channels between them and the parents.

A parent usually comes in or calls you up in order to inquire about the services provided by your day care center. Make sure that you clear yourself from the start. You need to tell them your guidelines so that they will know how you operate your business. The number one complaint of parents is the inability of childcare centers to follow their special request. This is why you need to make sure that you establish your boundaries from the start. Set a limitation up to where your company is willing to bend its rules to prevent future conflicts. Should they agree, have them sign a contract in order for future reference.

On your part, you need to make sure that you do your part in interviewing the parents. You have to ask them questions concerning the way that they raise their children. You need to know their habits or practices when it comes to taking care of the child. As much as possible, you need to foster an atmosphere and adopt a childcare method that is close to the way that their parents do it. This is also a perfect chance to ask if there are special feeding instructions or if they child needs any medication. Asking a little about what the child is interested in also helps in taking car of them easily.

It is important to talk with the parent everytime that they pick up their child. You always need to start a conversation with a positive note. Parents would always love to hear positive information about their child when it comes to these things. It is always important to let the parents know that their children are doing well even when they are not there. For negative news, you may insert it in the middle of the conversation. But reassure them that you will be able to monitor this to prevent this from becoming worse. Besides, children have no concept of what is good or bad, this is why you are there to let them know the difference between the two.

Set up an annual meeting with the parents, it is recommended that a mid-year evaluation must be done. Child care centers must provide progress reports on the children and give it to their parents. This will allow the parents to have a clearer idea on how their children are doing in the childcare center. This will help them in dealing with the children at home in order to improve their children in certain areas. Should they have questions, this is the time when they should ask it. You need to be as detailed as possible when your provide these records because with all the children in your day care, it will be hard to remember what exactly happened on the dates that these were filed. It is important for the parent to know that you are concerned with the welfare of the children.

A yearly survey will help you in maintaining and improving your childcare center. You need to conduct surveys for the parents and find out if they are satisfied with the way you are handling the childcare center. You may ask if there are any areas for improvement and if they have any suggestions. It is very important that you ask the opinion of the parents since they are the once you are serving. Whatever policies you may have must be centered on the welfare of the children and parents are the best consultants for these things. They know what is best for their children so knowing their opinion is a factor in keeping the quality of your service. It is best to conduct anonymous surveys. Have them answer a questionnaire and let them take their time in answering it. What is important here is that they honestly answer your questions and provide you with constructive answers.

If there are announcements, always make sure that you inform the parents immediately. Most of the time, this involves raising prices, closing the childcare center or even moving to another place. Parents need to be warned before hand in order for them to make decisions. They need enough time to think of these things whether it is okay for them or not. Especially when it comes to closing the childcare, this can really be a problem for most parents. This means that they have to search again for a credible child care center and adapt to the way that they are conducting the childcare services. So it is always your responsibility to give enough time for them to think.

The way to effective communication is not as complicated as it seems. All you need to do is to open your doors to parents. Even if they may have a lot of questions, you need to understand that they only want what’s best for their child. You can now work together in ensuring that their child is receiving the best possible care. This is done through proper communication in order for parents to be able tell you what they want. Make sure that you take all of their requests down an make sure that you are following them. Remember that things can always go right with effective communication, so do not let this get in the way of building goo customer relationships.

A set of activities are presented in order for you to help your child a good reader. Reading materials offered in public libraries such as books and magazines and other visual materials can also help in building this skill. There are also inexpensive materials and activities that you can use in attaining this.

Each set of activities is based on the child’s age span. Since children learn things at different stage, the stages are: baby (birth to 1 month), toddler (1 to 3 years old), preschool (from 3 – 4 years old) and kindergarten or early first grader (from 5 – 6 years old). Through this age stage the parents will know what the proper learning activity is for the child. Also, be patient with the child because they do not learn things well as fast as an adult.

As your children grow, your role as their parent or guardian also changes. It could be observed from the point when your child started to walk and you will guide him so that he will not fall down. As he or she reached older stage, you are confident enough to let go of your child because he or she now carry his/herself well. In terms of language skill, in the first stage you will teach him or her simple words like “Mom” or “Dad”. Eventually, as he or she grows old, many languages are introduced to him or her then sometimes you let your child learn them by their own.

Parents are the best teacher for their child especially when they are only starting to learn. The child can learn more from some they are comfortable with and someone they trust. Make sure that the activity that you and you child will do is fun and enjoyable. If you observe that the child is not happy with the activity you present, move on to another activity.

1.	BABY TALK

For Babies from birth to 1 year old

Since babies cannot speak yet, they often make sound to tell you something. If you response to them making sounds, they will think that what they tell you have sense and is valuable.

Top List on what to achieve:

•	Always chat to your little one especially when they are smiling and making gurgles. Eye contact is important as well as body contact.

•	Play guessing games with your babies. For example, try to ask “Where is your nose?” You can answer by touching their nose and say “there is your nose!” Do this by asking different parts of the face.

•	Repeat the word of a certain part of the face or body. By doing this, the baby will start to recognize the sound you produce then in the later they can form it into words.

•	DO interesting things with your baby. Variation of voices and funny facial expression and singing songs interest them.

For babies from 6 weeks to 1 year old

Books are one of the best materials that you can offer to your babies making them a good reader and at the same time a fun activity to do with them.

Materials Needed

1.	Cardboard and/or cloth books by means of large, yet uncomplicated pictures of stuff with which brood are familiar

2.	Lift-the-flap, and/or touch-and-feel, and/or peek-through play

Top List on what to Do:

•	Reading story with your newborn for a short period many times per day is a good reading exercise. You can do it during the day when you are at the park, bus or even after breakfast at the breakfast table. During bedtime you can read to them too.

•	Name the things shown in the book. Point them out while reading for better understanding.

•	Sturdy books offer a lot of things to learn to the babies. It adds additional fun in learning.

CHATTING WITH CHILDREN

For children from 1 year old to 6 year old

As your baby grows old, their language development is in fast track. In line with this, talking to your child is essential to be able to develop their language skill more.

Top List on what to Do:

•	Talk to your toddler while eating, taking a bath and when dressing him or her up. Emphasize color, shape, numbers and sizes. Point them out for better emphasis.

•	Make conversation with your children and point out pictures and name to let your child know what it is. Question and answer after reading the book is quite a good exercise to be able to know if the child can comprehend the story.

•	Make your toddler help you whenever you do chores in the house. For example when cooking something, try to give him cooking utensils and explain to them what these utensils do. This fosters a good learning experience for them.

•	It is always good to converse with the child when doing stuffs together. In this way your child’s thinking is stimulated by asking questions upon meeting up something new like flowers in the park, food that you eat together and things that you have brought in the store. Yes or no questions are a good challenge for them as well as good brain twister.

•	Listen to what your child has to say or ask. Explain your answer patiently. If you do not answer the question, do not hesitate looking for it in the book with him or her. This will give them the idea of how books can help in giving answer to most of our queries.

•	Let your child talk and tell a story about anything. Afterwards, ask questions about the story so that you will know if they understand the story they are telling.

•	Do things together, for example cook in the kitchen and let him help you. Teach them simple recipes that they might want to prepare when they grow a little bit older.

•	Turn off the television if it has been on for hours and have a good talk with your child.

Creating and dealing out flyers is a simple and reasonably priced way to promote your in-home daycare commerce and build enrolment.

Keep these 10 instructions in mind while preparation the open of your next flyer movement:

1.) Benefits – Use projectile points to emphasize key reimbursement of your program. Don’t just dilapidate the usual laundry catalogue of “We offer meals, warm & loving surroundings, etc”. So do mainly providers. What makes your program dissimilar? Gluten free menu alternatives, 24 hour care, foreign verbal message? Once you find IT, guide with it.

2.) Call-to-Action – Tell your forecast exactly what you desire them to perform once they’ve interpreted your flyer? Call, stay website, email? Use Deadlines & limits to encourage punctual responses. You want them to do something NOW, not afterwards.

3.) Color Options – You desire your flyers to get notice. Studies demonstrate that colored paper tend to out do standard white paper, so why not employ that to your benefit & go for a little that’s bright, amusing, & happy?

4.) Distribution – Distribute in “under attack areas” where parents with youthful children will watch them such as: Toys-R-Us, Baby Depot, Chuck-E-Cheeses, Elementary Schools, Libraries, etc. Watch out for minivans as well as vehicles with car seats. If you’re distributing door-to-door, aim for homes with toys & play kit in the yard.

5.) Headline - Instead of just using your commerce name, try a little different like a client memorial or asking your view a question to imprison their notice.

6.) Referrals – Encourage referral by asking that persons “not at present in need of child care military, please go by along to somebody who is.”

7.) Safety First – Do not list your street address, try a little like… serving “your city” and close areas.

8.) Stash Some Extras – Keep a hide of extra flyers in your bus (seat pocket, trunk, or under seat) along with a box of thumb tacks or push pins and tape. I discover that those delightful petite synthetic accordion folders work well for this task.

9.) Testimonials - Adding a testimonial to your flyer can be very effectual and go a long way towards structure credibility. You can too use them as headlines for your flyers.

10.) Town Ordinances - Get proverbial with local laws prior to distributing your flyers. Check to make sure there are no city ordinances next to posting flyers in sure areas, passing them out on the road, or door-to-door. Also get consent before distribute in parking lots.

Whether you make a decision to plan and print a little batch right from your house computer or just print one and make extra copies at your restricted office furnish or copy spot, flyers are an easy and simple way to create visibility for your in-home daycare trade.
